Ohio Governor John Kasich recently proposed a plan to invest nearly $3 billion in Ohio’s transportation infrastructure, which would help create as many as 60,000 new Ohio jobs. This innovative plan includes nearly $904 million in funds for projects in Cuyahoga County, including $340 million for the reconstruction of the Cleveland Innerbelt.

Governor Kasich’s plan has already garnered widespread bipartisan support from local officials, as well as business and labor groups.

Despite this widespread support, Democrat candidate for governor Ed FitzGerald wants to fight against bringing this necessary investment on development to Cuyahoga County. The Plain Dealer reports that he, “vehemently opposed the transportation plan that Kasich championed.”

Why is FitzGerald opposed to this plan? It seems he will stop at nothing to attack Governor Kasich’s plans to move Ohio forward, even at the expense of hard-working Ohio families and businesses who need the jobs that Governor Kasich’s plan will help create.

If it were up to Ed FitzGerald these job creating improvements would be delayed for ten years or more, and that’s why we need your help today. Click the link below to stand up for Ohio jobs!
